\u00a0La traite des personnes est l’un des crimes qui porte atteinte gravement aux droits de humains et \u00e0 la dignit\u00e9 de l’\u00eatre humain.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dans ce cadre, pleinement d\u00e9termin\u00e9e \u00e0 remplir ses engagements internationaux, notamment la Convention des Nations Unies contre la criminalit\u00e9 transnationale organis\u00e9e de 2000 et ratifi\u00e9 par la Tunisie en 2002 et son protocole visant \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir, r\u00e9primer et punir la traite des personnes, en particulier des femmes et des enfants ratifi\u00e9s par la Tunisie par la loi no. 5 de 2003 de janvier 2003 du 25 mars 2003 , Il est cr\u00e9\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s du minist\u00e8re de la justice l’instance nationale de lutte contre la traite des personnes en vertu de la Loi organique n\u00b0 2016-61 du 3 ao\u00fbt 2016, relative \u00e0 la pr\u00e9vention et lutte contre la traite des personnes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • \n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/i>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tCombatting all forms of exploitation by the prevention from trafficking in Persons and punishment of the culprits.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • \n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/i>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tProtecting and helping victims of trafficking in persons.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    In should be noted in this connection that the actual establishment of the National Commission against Trafficking in Persons was made by the governmental order no. 219 dated February 09, 2017 on nominating members of the commission against trafficking in person. It was given a headquarter on January 23, 2018 in 5 Iben Charaf Street, the Gardens district, in the Capital of Tunis .<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The National Commission against Trafficking in Persons assumes :<\/strong><\/p>

    • Establishing a national strategy to prohibit and combat trafficking in Persons and proposing mechanisms for their implementation,<\/span><\/li>
    • Coordinating efforts in the field of implementation of the measures of protecting victims, witnesses and whistleblowers, and mechanisms for assisting the victims,<\/span><\/li>
    • Receiving notifications of trafficking in persons\u2019 operations and transmitting them to the competent judicial authorities,<\/span><\/li>
    • Issuing the guiding principles for the stakeholders, especially the commercial carriers, labor inspectors, child protection officers, social and psychological specialists, and controlling border, foreigners, IDs, travel, visas and residence documents, to monitor and report on operations of trafficking in persons,<\/span><\/li>
    • Cooperating with the civil society and all the organizations in relation to combatting trafficking in persons and assisting them to implement their programs in this field,<\/span><\/li>
    • Collecting trafficking in persons- related data and statics required for the establishment of a data base that shall be invested to accomplish its mandated tasks. For this purpose, the Commission may rely on the assistance of relevant governmental bodies and agencies specialized in the collection of information and data associated with its functions, <\/span><\/li>
    • Proposing measures and mechanisms to limit the incentives of all forms of exploitation of persons and disseminate the social awareness on the danger of trafficking in persons through awareness-raising campaigns, cultural and educational programs, holding conferences and seminars, and publishing and disseminating evidences,<\/span><\/li>
    • Organizing training sessions and supervising of training programs on the national and international levelss,<\/span><\/li>
    • Disseminating measures adopted by the State to combat trafficking in persons and providing answers and opinion for issues raised by the international organizations related to its field of intervention,<\/span><\/li>
    • Contributing to the revitalization of research and studies to update the legislations that regulate fields related to trafficking in persons in the light of international standards and adequate practices to implement the State\u2019s programs to fight this phenomenon.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      The Commission is mandated to conduct annual report on its activities. It should mandatorily include proposition to improve the national measures for the prevention and the fight against trafficking in persons, and submit it to before the Head of the Government, then, publish it to the public. The commission is also mandated to revitalize cooperation with its foreign counterparts with which it has cooperation agreements and with respect to the principle of reciprocity and applicable laws while respecting the victims\u2019 rights.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
